FS-ATC-Chatter Reviews

I’ve been using FS-ATC Chatter for just over a week now. I really wish I had known about this program a long time ago. This software helps tremendously with immersion into the simulator and makes it feel just that more real. Here’s my run down:

1. It’s brilliant at filling the gaps with ATC audio clips when there is nothing being said when you are using programs like Say Intentions. When your ATC software is not communicating with you FS-ATC-Chatter steps in automatically and then pauses when your ATC program picks back up.

2. The amount of audio clips available for many different parts of the world is amazing. So much so that you probably won’t hear the same thing twice in any given flight session.

3. The ability to focus the audio to larger regions of the world or down to specific countries is really great. And it can be done on the fly (no pun intended…ok, yes it was) with no interruptions.

4. FS-ATC-Chatter is stand-alone so you don’t have to try and figure out where to put it or how it will integrate with your simulator. It does this by itself. You open FS-ATC-Chatter, start your simulator, FS-ATC-Chatter picks it up and runs with it, no hassle.

5. Very minimal setup which is nice for those that aren’t computer savvy. Kind of set it and forget it in the background.

6. The use interface (UI) is simple and straight forward. It’s not filled with a ton of settings that you won’t use or that will confuse you. Getting FS-ATC-Chatter up and running is done in a matter of a few minutes after you install it.

7. From what I have experienced thus far, I do not see any performance loss from using FS-ATC-Chatter whatsoever. This is a huge plus for people in the simming community as we are so adept at chasing FPS. So, you can use FS-ATC-Chatter with confidence.

8. And last but most important, it just works! So many times in the flight simming community we struggle to get our software and hardware setup just right or tweaked to the point of insanity. Not here. FS-ATC-Chatter does what is it designed to do and it does it very well.

Not many things impress me these days, however, this piece of software really did in a big way, and I honestly have not one negative thing to say about FS-ATC-Chatter. I am amazed at how simple it is but how much of an impact it has made for me while flying. No more stretches of utter silence and no more listening to engines drone through the atmosphere for hours sometimes. FS-ATC-Chatter has got you covered over land and sea.

I had no idea this app existed I found it mentioned on my SayIntentionsAI app and I am so glad. It is awesome! It makes that app even more awesome. The level of immersion is incredible now on my sim. I won’t fly without using it. Thank You Stick and Rudder Studios!

I use FS-ATC-Chatter in conjunction with P2ATC and find it adds a level of immersion that brings MSFS to a completely new level. I fly almost exclusively the PMDG Boeing commercial A/C and without P2ATC and FS-ATC-Chatter I doubt I’d recieve 1/2 the enjoyment.

Great product! Easy to use, stable, and adds a level of immersion that is severely lacking in the default sim.

You might not think this would help your r/t learning experience but it can.

After using this for a few months you’ll be pleasantly surprised in how much you are hearing clearly what used to sound like fast gibberish.

Even KJFK ATC which is very fast indeed.

This is one of those essential addons for flight sims and I’m surprised it’s not spoken of more widely within the community. It’s in the very same league as those legendaries; GSX Pro, Self Loading Cargo and FSLTL and similar. Once you’ve used FS-ATC Chatter you will wonder how you ever flew without it. Simple to install and use and suitable for all types of flying from big jet commercial to private hobby light. The software is ‘set and forget’ in most cases and it adds absolutely ESSENTIAL aural immersion to compliment all the eye candy provided by other addons.

I’ve been a flight sim enthusiast since the early days of stick figure airplanes, primitive sceneries and beeps for sound and I recognize a great Flight Sim add-on when it comes along. FS ATC Chatter by Stick and Rudder Studios is one of those great add-ons that have come along. FS ATC Chatter gives you huge collection of worldwide ATC radio traffic, a great standalone player and can be used in Pilot2ATC. There’s no steep learning curve thanks to a well written user guide and tutorial videos. Sitting in your favorite airplane with the radios powered up and listening to early morning ATC at your favorite airport seems so real. Don’t even bother with the free demo, just buy it.

FS-ATC-Chatter is a great and affordable companion app for MSFS. It works exactly as advertised and creates an extra layer of immersion by playing contextual chatter based on real-world ATC and your selected radio frequencies in the simulator. I never fly without it! The developer Mark is responsive and helpful and regularly adds new chatter samples to the database. I highly recommend the app and Stick and Rudder offer a fully functional demo which you can try for free before you buy. A no-brainer 😁
