X-ATC-Chatter Reviews

I am a dedicated user of Stick and Rudder products, and the two I rely on most frequently are ATC Chatter and X-Camera. ATC Chatter enhances my flying experience by closely mimicking the actual radio traffic I hear when flying in real life. It keeps me engaged in the simulation and adds a sense of realism to my activities.

Additionally, I use X-Camera in conjunction with the Elgato Stream Deck. This combination allows me to set up various camera angles and views and easily switch between them while flying, which greatly contributes to the authenticity of my flight simulation experience. I highly recommend these products.

Lastly, the support I have received over the years has been outstanding. Mark is always willing to follow up and try to identify and correct any issues as the versions change with x-Plane.

Makes the sim so much more immersive with how it integrates with ATC add-ons or default ATC and the software plays the correct clips depending on the frequency you’re tuned to.

The realism is hard to beat. The chatter, even at remote airports, still picks up plenty of chatter, adding much variety to the flight experience. Lots of ATC info to digest using United States.

Superb product, and excellent support.

The atc sounds very good as if its coming out of your radio. It bribgs the emersion up alot! It needs more audio clips as i run into repeats often. Florida miami area is very popular so would love to see lots more clips from south florida a. Carribean areas

X-ATC-Chatter is a must-have for total immersion. Even using SimplyATC feature can alert you to traffic around you.

I cannot be flight anymore without this plugin!

I wanted to get rid of the silence in xplane as i don’t use vatsim etc.

The chatter gives the right amount of emersion while if you use the atc function it provides the right amount of functionality without being over complex. The atc also provides good realism while adding to the workload of flying the aircraft.

I have used X-ATC-Chatter since I first got it, and only for test purposes do I ever remove it from my plugins. It is hard to think of another plugin that adds this kind of immersion. Bonus: Lately I have been learning ATC jargon, practicing for using a live ATC program. I found the little gem “Simple ATC” hiding in the menu up there. It works seamlessly with the chatter and follows my plan, vectors me to final in bad weather, and adds a lot to the ATC experience without confusing instructions (so far so good). I have used 3 other ATC programs and this one is my favorite.

This helps kind of get your head in the busy ATC airspace, great little program to help add the 4th dimension to the sim experience.

I wish we could add custom files easier, it is difficult process at this time, but the program does what it advertises and the dev seems open to suggestions and support.

As someone who flies planes and frequently uses X-Plane, I noticed that one aspect was missing: air traffic control and its ongoing chatter. This software addresses that by providing a constant and ever-changing stream of ATC communications that enhances the feeling of real flight every time I take off in the simulator. The radio channels available often correspond to the actual airport or center associated with your flight, which adds to the realism.

If you ever encounter any issues with the program, Mark is extremely responsive and eager to help you troubleshoot. In my opinion, his level of customer support is unparalleled.

I highly recommend this software as a valuable addition to any flight simulation setup.

It’s enough to disable this plugin and… you will realize that the immersion is gone. For me, this is a very important indicator. Without X-ATC, the game becomes rather bland and lifeless.
